ERAS guidelines for antenatal and preoperative care in caesarean delivery

The Enhanced Recovery after Surgery (ERAS) Society recently published Part 1 of the Society’s 3-part caesarean delivery guidelines, focussed on pre-operative care for women undergoing scheduled and unscheduled caesarean delivery, in the American Journal of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Caesarean delivery is the most common surgical procedure in the modern world.

Perioperative ERAS program equally safe and feasible in laparoscopy-assisted and open distal gastrectomy patients

Perioperative care performed by the enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) program for laparoscopy-assisted distal gastrectomy (LADG) was equally feasible and safe for open distal gastrectomy (ODG) with additional pain control. Less pain observed in LADG was not so apparent advantage for completion and safety of ERAS care.
